Capsule forms of drugs
Why encapsulated in medicine, chemical and pharmaceutical industry – is widely used today?
Encapsulation of hydrophilic systems (emulsions, dispersions, suspensions and colloids) containing an aqueous component – the novelty of our age!. For the first time learned how to encapsulate “water” to produce heat-resistant capsules long term storage.
A prerequisite for the invention is the fact that the prolonged release of gastro – intestinal tract and delivery of medicines, biologically and therapeutically ativnyh valuable substances to specific organs is a fundamental principle of effective treatment, prevention, increase the biological value and therapy. Developed systems that provide prolonged release and in vivo-effective delivery of encapsulated substances to organs or target cells, while fully preserved the properties of these substances.
Encapsulated functional components of the special-purpose vitamin, mineral, protein and biologically active additives can be designed to enrich and improve the nutritional and biological value of products, creation of health food products and special meals.
This invention relates to microbiological, medical, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, in particular to a method for encapsulating drugs, medical and therapeutic agents to produce capsules with a diameter 1.0 … 15.0 mm for oral administration, intended for release of physiologically active substances – filling the capsule in the body – the target, namely in the area of the pancreas, small intestine and colon.
The capsules are made from the shell, formulated mixture which contains sodium alginate, and the internal filling in the form of liquid or viscous emulsion, suspension or gel of a drug or therapeutic drug.
The capsules are resistant to the effects of acidic environments, pepsin, thermostable properties, hydrolytic and enzymatic stability, high strength and stability to the action or intervention from the outside, mechanical and osmotic resistance to external physical – chemical factors, such as mechanical agitation, fever, change in pressure .
